Before using the LFP battery/charger, follow the operating instructions:
Storage
If the battery is not used or stored for longer than 2 days, first charge the battery to at least 80%, switch off the battery, disconnect the battery from the E-Cart and store the battery in a dry room protected from sunlight and moisture. (Storage at temperatures 0°C - 45°C, for storage 1 year or longer 10°C - 45°C)
- Avoid high humidity
- Do not store heavy objects on the battery
- During storage, keep the battery away from objects with a static charge and otherand other metallic objects during storage.
- Keep away from heat sources.
- A discharged battery that is stored will become permanently unusable. Charge the battery before storing it for a longer period of time. The optimum level is 80-90%.
- Do not exceed or fall below the permissible storage temperature.
- Improper storage will invalidate the battery warranty.
Use & Charging
- Temperature range when using the lithium battery -15°C to +60°C. At minus temperatures, switch off charged (at least 80%). If not used for 2 or more days, leave charged and frost-free and switch off the battery.
- Core temperature* when charging the lithium battery 0°C- 45°C. The core temperature* of the battery must be above 0°C when charging with the charger. Charging at lower temperatures will damage the battery (not possible with many models).
- At temperatures below 0°C, the battery should always have at least 40% charge remaining when in use, as the battery will degrade in the cold.
- At positive temperatures, the battery should be charged from 20-30% residual charge
- When parking (e.g. overnight) at temperatures below 0°C, the battery should be charged to at least 80% beforehand. Improper use or parking a discharged battery at sub-zero temperatures can significantly shorten the service life of the battery or cause damage to the battery (not covered by the warranty).
*Note: If the battery is exposed to sub-zero temperatures, it will take more time to reach a core temperature above +0°C due to thermal inertia as soon as the cart is driven into a hall/garage, for example.
Failure to comply with the temperature ranges (storage/use/charging) may result in damage to the lithium battery. The lithium battery is equipped with a temperature/error data memory. This can be read out at any time.
Do not store heavy objects on the battery.
During storage, keep the battery away from objects with static charge and other metallic objects.
Keep away from heat sources.
Operating instructions
Use only the charger intended for the lithium pack.
Use or charge the battery only in the designated vehicles
Reverse charging is not permitted
Do not store any metallic objects (keys, screwdrivers, etc.) near the cells
+ and - pole of the battery must not be short-circuited under any circumstances (by metallic objects or similar)
Parts of the battery must not be soldered / welded
Do not strike the battery (e.g. with a hammer).
Do not stand on the battery and also protect it from heavy objects
Battery (and its electrical system) must not be modified or disassembled.
Keep the battery away from microwaves.
Battery must not be dried in a dryer
Do not dispose of battery in a scrap metal compactor
Protect battery from high humidity and from rain
Do not use battery after fall
Before installing and removing the battery from the vehicle, read operating instructions
Keep the battery away from fire and heat sources
Do not immerse/throw the battery pack into water/ bodies of water
If the poles are dirty: clean with a dry cloth before use
Warning
Stop charging if the battery is not fully charged after the predetermined time.
In case of extreme heat or odor, discoloration or deformation and any other abnormality during use, storage, charging/discharging, do not use the battery.
Do not use the battery in case of leakage and/or odor, immediately keep away from fire or other heat sources.
In case of contact of spilled liquids with skin or clothing flush immediately with plenty of clean fresh water.
If battery fluid gets intoeye s, do not rub, but immediately flush with plenty of fresh water and seek medical attention.
